Marion and Chris,
If you have not yet left Toronto, see if you can obtain copies of Don
Wright's Guides"
1. Free Campgrounds
2. Camping on a Shoestring (Eastern Edition)
3. " " " " (Western Edition)
If you haven't, order them and have them sent to "General Delivery" in
some small town along the way you'll be visiting.
If I remember, they were about $15.00 US each, with some discount for
more than one version. I've used them all over the States to great
benefit coupled with Park Service passes, golden eagle passes,
sick-lame-and lazy Korean War Era vets' allowances, American Legion
parking lots, VFW parking lots and Catholic Church parking lots
("Well Officer, I'm waiting for: 1 Father Murphy, or 2. for Mass, or 3:
I've got this person who needs to confess." (It is Friday!)
If you have kids, there's a Don Wright's version for kids.
