I also have an '86 2wd Westi with air conditioning and it did not come
equipped with any pressure cutout switches in the refrigerant lines. I
know this because I pulled out all the refrigerant hoses last summer and
replaced them with barrier type hoses while I was adding an in-the-dash
second AC evaporator unit and changing to R-134a. There were no
switches. This is contrary to what is described in Bentley but this is
what I found.

switch??? If so where should it be located??? My unit has none. The
bentley book shows a pipe with a high pressure and a low pressure cutout
switches.
