Make sure your cooland concentration is 50-50, the leved sensor in your
reseviour bottle is conductive sensitive, meaning that water is a conductor
and coolant isn't. If there's too much coolant concentration, your control
unit for that stupid cooland light will flash because it thinks that the
coolant level is low. The best way to trouble shoot this on your own is to
unplug the connector on the coolant reseviour (the one in your engine
compartment, not the one behind your license plate) and bridge the connector
with a wire. This will eliminate the coolant concentration concern and wether
the level sensor itself is bad. If the light still flashes, you need a new
coolant gage. As a precation after the problem is found, I would be sure the
concentration is correct and the system PROPERLY blead, and replace the level
sensor. Michael.
