My wife works as an analytical chemist for a company that patented a downdraft overspray recovery process. The paint booth has a pit beneath it which holds a chemical emulsion that "grabs" on to the paint solids. When the chemical in the pit is saturated with paint solids, it's exchanged for a new batch. The saturated solution get shipped to my wife's processing facility where she breaks the solution into the paint solids and the original chemical solution. The chemical solution goes in a holding tank waiting to be used again and the paint solids are turned into a fuel to power cement kilns. -- Best Regards, Scot Douglas Project Engineer; Chrysler/Mitsubishi Joint Programs Mitsubishi Motors R&D of America P: (734) 971-0900 x124 F: (734) 971-0901
