Scott, Malcolm & others- I also have a burgundy '90 Westy.  I use the spray
2001 on the poptop, which is easy, cheap, fast, doesn't remove color and
leaves a slippery,, shinny coating with fantastic deep color.  The ingrediants
on the bottle & canned 2001 seem a bit different & I've not tried them.
