I'm looking for a 2nd vehicle.
Are there any recommended, that have Vanagon level Parts Availability &
Online Support?

Is the Vanagon a special case because of the success of the VW Bug and
subsequent emergence of independent VW parts suppliers?

Are there other autos besides VW, that have independent parts suppliers?  I
want to have parts sources in addition to the manufacturer's Dealership.

Any recommended autos with Internet news/lists/other support?

PS  Thanks to all for the help/advise rebuilding my 84' Vanagon's 1.9l.  I
now have 48k miles since rebuild.
