I have an alternator that seems to want to scream only when it is cold, or just upon starting. It is very unpredictable. I just replaced it too, for the same reason, and now this one is doing it. I think it is related to the bearing on the brush side of the alternator, since I can feel some play in the rotor axle. Is it suggested that I replace the bearing, or oil it or what? Joe
