Ken,on my swap I left the o2 Sensor off, it runs great. Of course I also used points ignition and very simple(canadian schematic in Haynes)vacuum line setup. We don't have emissions testing in Oregon, but I do try to keep it tuned and running clean. I did use the rabbit fuel pump and accumulator, I think the latter would be necessary to maintain proper fuel pressure. good luck KENWILFY wrote: > Well removed the pressure plate today on the diesel to find that the pilot > bearing was toast and it had also wrecked the clutch disk (made the springs > loose) so I ordered a new disk and Throw-out bearing from Ron (pressure plate > looks good) and now its time to wait. > Pulled out the wiring diagrams for the Scirocco and the Vanagon and tried to > mentally trace the wiring and see where I could tie the two systems together. > It appears that I am going to need to set up a fuel pump and ignition relay > like is in a normal Vanagon and then wire in the Hall unit in order to get the > thing running. > Some things I was wondering about: Can I use the Vanagon fuel pump? > Am I going to need to put a fuel pressure accumulator in the fuel system?
