I posted a note a couple of weeks ago about this. The '89 Syncro idles
great,
runs when cold. When the engine warms up it stalls out when you put your
foot on the gas. Also stalls when stopped at stop sign. We swapped out the
air flow meter, no difference. We swapped the ECU, no diff. We unplugged
the
O2 sensor, no difference. We didn't pull the injectors because the rumor we
heard is the seals may need to be replaced. Does anyone have any experience
with this? The stalling, missing, lurching is getting worse. The vehicle
has
only been driven to try to resolve the problem. We're worried about getting
too far from home. We've put injector cleaner in, but haven't driven the
vehicle enough to see if it's effective. One repairman we spoke with
mentioned something about a modification on the wiring harness for the air
 flow meter?

Replace the temp sensor, make sure your plug wires are new, make sure your
throttle switches are good, check to see your CAT is good, is it breathing in
good , like if the intake ducting inside the right rear side vent to the air
box is clogged, is the timing and fuel injection propperly set up. The
wireharness adaptor isn't going to cure your problem, it's still needed
though. Michael M. 87 syncro.
