Hi all - Not a problem at all to change filters at anytime. Just take off the old filter and install a new one. Just a few drips will come down. I had a filter so loose on my ex-Vanagon (how loose was it! the audience gamely asks) It was sooo loose that it took two turns to make contact with the seal! It leaked just a little. I was hunting for oil leaks that ended up on the rear hatch. This loose filter was dripping a small amount onto the exhaust, but the larger culprit was leaky push rod seals. And since Subaru engines are becomming sorta topical on this list, I changed the filter on my Subaru (it's horizontal, not vertical BTW) after finding a leak in the seam of the filter itself, again, only a few drips. - Jeff Ineeda21/23windowsunroofDeluxewalkthru! to be used for daily driving '80 Westi Daily Driver SOLD and driven away '80 Westi non-running SOLD and hauled away '66 Bus, Kombi SALE PENDING, to be picked up Wednesday and then I'll be bussless for the first time in 18 years! aarrgghh!
