Friends, Last night my central door locks hung up. Now I cannot lock the doors with the key, and cannot push the lock button down manually. Any suggestions? ------ Now for the tip: the chromed plastic inserts in the rubber window moldings had faded and de-chromed themselves over their 11-year lifespan, and were looking a bit shoddy. I've painted them with a rubber paint designed for tool handles to increase their grippability. Simply thin the paint with mineral spirits and brush on. Seems durable and weather-resistant, and is an easy way to achieve the "Cal-look" without large outlay of cash. Cheers, Larry Merin '87 Vanagon GL Little Rock MerinLawrenceM@exchange.uams.edu
