Charles, Towing a Vanagon on two wheels that far is unadvisable, particularly if you have an automatic transmission (the bearings will wear out). I would call U-Haul, Ryder, or whoever has a good deal on a trailer that you can use. The expense is not that bad, in proportion to the cost of the van. I had the willies towing mine 11 miles once- the limit is 20. ~:( Safe travels, Sam ---Charles D Bennett <bennett_charles@JPMORGAN.COM> wrote: > > I need to tow an 83 Vanagon about 200 miles, and was wondering if anyone > has purchased or made a towbar set-up that works well to tow the vanagon. > _________________________________________________________ DO YOU YAHOO!?
