I just had the same problem, Bruce. I took it to a local propane shop (a big place that converts fleet vehicles to run on propane). Turned out to be the propane service valve (the on/off one on the side of the van) that was leaking. This turned out to be a domestic part which was replaced for 36.00 US including a new tank of gas. Hope this helps, Dane Tessler 87 Westfalia 138K Treasure Island, FL http://members.aol.com/Dane714/westfalia.html -----Original Message----- From: Bruce Ralphs <bar@ISLANDNET.COM> To: Vanagon@VANAGON.COM <Vanagon@VANAGON.COM> Date: Thursday, May 14, 1998 1:45 AM Subject: propane shut-off...not shut-off! >Hi Gang, any experience out there (I'm sure there is) of when one closes >the propane valve that it doesn't shut off.
