There's a lot of talk of the Subaru engine kits, Buick V6 and the Porsche
motors. With patetiance, us vanagon owners will soon be able stick in three
new awsome motors. My first choice would be the new 1.9 liter TDI, with a
wopping 115 HP and around 160 of torque, second,  the new VR5 (narrow 15
degree 5 cylinder) around 160 HP, and the 1.8 turbo (currently used on the new
Passats and Audi's) 150 HP. Soon there will be a recked one that will find its
way into a vanagon, hopefully mine. Michael M. 87 syncro.
