HI Erik,
   What are you axually doing with it? I have one, no gears
sticking out, but I'm sure it can not be rebuilt. Parts broke
inside and it was driven several 1000 mile, making all kinds
of noise. The inside has dents and marks in every part
from broken gears fling around.
