Or you can remain subscribed to the list but get no list mail by sending a
message to listserv@vanagon.com (NOT vanagon@vanagon.com) with the following
text in the body of the message:

set Vanagon NoMail

Then when you want to resume getting mail from the list send another message
to listserv@vanagon.com with the following text in the body of the message:

set Vanagon Mail
