My refridgerator in my '91 keeps things quite a bit colder than yours is
doing.
I make ice cubes in the little trays that rest on the heat exchanger fins even
when the thermostat is set only halfway down.  Maybe you need to clean the
unit out or have the refrigerant recharged.
