THe key that works in the ignition doesn't work in any of the locks. Is there a different key for the ignition and the locks? I thought it would be the same key, but the fact that it doesn't work in *any* of the locks made me wonder. If only one didn't work, I;d think the lock was busted. I will be going by a locksmith this afternoon to see if he has any ideas, maybe replacing the lock cylinder on just the driver's door, and using a special key just for that one. Other than that, it is great! Going camping in it this weekend in fact. It's a simple procedure to match the ignition key. Just stop by University VW in Seattle, and they can rekey your doors no problem, by changing out some tumblers in each lock cylinder. If you are on the east side, come and see me at Chaplin's Bellevue VW. Bye. Michael Modl. 87 syncro
