Forgive me if this is one of those foolish questions, but my Bently doesn't go into any great detail here. I was checking my throttle switch today and was curious about the full throttle switch. If you depress the gas pedal all the way down, should the accelerator cable pull past the full throttle open (switching point). With my pedal to the floor, I can still push the linkage quite a ways before the switch clicks on. Recently had a new clutch installed and the technician put a new cable in. Old one had seen better days. Thanks Randy Feuerriegel 88 syncro >> Hi Randy, your throttle linkage isn't properly set. You will need to have it properly set so that full throttle will be obtained. Loosen that small bolt at the end of the throttle cable on the throttle body, pull out the slack and resecure. Have someone push on the gas all the way and check to see if you are getting full throttle now. Good luck. Michael Modl. 87 syncro.
