Subject:3-pronged spark plugs

I was thinking about putting 3-pronged Bosch plugs in my 89 and so was
double-checking the part number by emailing Bosch. I read in the archives
that several of you have had good results with the 3-pronged W7DTC type. I
asked them about this one specifically and he said that while it was a
commonly used plug on VW/Audi, it was too long for use on the Vanagon.
This reminded me of the recent thread where someone was having a problem
where it seemed the plug was too long. Not sure how that can be given that
several people have had good results with the plugs. Oh well, just thought
some of you could use the info. I know this is common knowlege but the
compatible plugs he listed for an 89 were W7CC, W7CC0 and WR7CP
