The NY Times earlier this week said that VW was to build 80,000 and
Porsche 20,000. VW would concentrate on the European and world markets,
and Porsche would sell mainly in the U.S.
   Sounds like the old 914. They called it a Porsche here, and a
VW-Porsche everywhere else. With the Porsche nameplate we'll be paying
more for virtually the same vehicle.
