-- [ From: John H. Rodgers * EMC.Ver #2.5.02 ] -- yes, I think this is the way to go. i have thought about getting another van but I could be buying another set of headaches. One I am through all this I will know what I have, and how long to expect to use it, but a new machine could require the same treatment..........and my '85GL is completely paid for. Needless to say, it has put me way off my return home, until it is all done. But better now than later. Not surprised it is time for all this re-working. The '85 GL has approx. 210 ,000 miles on it. Body is good, but the running gear is........well, needs love. Will post my progress. Sorry about the confusion. John Rodgers '85 GL Driver in Alabama wanting to go home to Alaska >> John-- When we bought Suzanne's van, it needed all of the above and more. The previous owner had "defered" ALL maintenanence for years. With 230k showing on the (broken) odometer, it was time. But, WHAT A FEELING when it was done!!! Handled great, shifted nicely, FAR less drifty-ness, etc. etc. etc. You'll be glad you fixed all that. gmbulley, cary, nc -------- REPLY, End of original message --------
