My Dometic electric fridge is working fine again.  It turns out that the
whole problem was its sensitivity to level ground, (which I was unaware of,
being a mere newby and all :-{}      It must have within 8 degrees of level
in order to cool down on AC power, then I can maintain it on 12 volt while
travelling.
