Hello,

My name is John-Reed Maffeo, I own a 1986 Syncro with 120,000
miles on it. I purchased it to replace my 1984 Jeep Grand Wagoneer.

I have twisted a few wrenches in my time and have some experience in
designing and fabricating machinery and equipment for automotive and
industrial applications. Unfortunately, I am without shop space and down
to the barest of tools.

This is only my second ever VW. The first being a 1966 Squareback which
I flogged for a few years in college.

I have been lurking on the list via the archive server for several
months and I have finally decided to join. I hope to be
a contributor as well as a consumer. However, if I happen to
contribute too much, please tell me to shut up ;)
