Subject:Re: Westy CB Antenna Mounting Location

Take the luggage rack off and cut some nice square holes in the bottom of
it, big enough to allow an antenna magnet mount to fit through. Then stick
some edging material (dor edging?) on the fiberglass hole cutouts for a
nice look and reinstall. I have 3 holes in my luggage rack, each of about
the size of my hand or a little smaller. I can pick which hole to pluk down
the magnet mount right onto the metal roof of the vehicle. SWR reading is a
very acceptable 1.5:1 at 24 watts.
