I spent last week tooling around Montana and had several opportunities to
drive my 87 syncro Westy at it's top speed (there is no daytime speed limit
in MT). On a good level road with no headwind, the van was able to travel at
85mph. Oil temperature crept up to 240F when driving at this speed.
