Just had my Westy serviced at my usual (and truly excellent) mechanic. He did an oil change and tune up (new fuel and air filter and plugs), coolant flush and fill, a manual transmission drain and fill, new front brake pads, machined the rotors, repacked and greased the wheel hubs. Now for the truly embarassing part. I reported my suspected PS rack leak and asked for a complete inspection of my coolant system. It turns out my PS rack has no leak. A coolant pipe joint in the same area was leaking slowly but obviously. It was a very cheap fix. I need to get some repair ramps so I can get better access to the underside of my vehicle. Oh well, all is well that ends well. Kelly Bauman Delta, BC '91 Westy
