Ummmm..... the only vans that came with this circular plate with 4 studs were
the campers....and the campers all had the swival mechanisms.......

Soooooo.... if you want these swivle mechanisms in your non-camper vanagon -
then you HAVE to cut these off the camper seatwell , and either bolt, or weld
them to your van.
