What is the expected lifespan of the front outer CV joints on a syncro? My
boots need replacing and at 102K miles I'm wondering if I should just go
ahead and replace the CVs while I've got the front end torn apart. I don't
hear any noises or have any symptoms of problems, but I have heard that
these CVs do not last as long as the others. I have a set of new front half
axles with CVs that I can use but I was hoping not to use these until the
van hits the 150K mark or so. I'd appreciate feedback from anyone who has
had a front outer CV fail.
