I have 16" wheels on my syncro with 215-65-16 tires. I having no power loss ( a little up steep hills though ) or braking problems that would be of any concern. The syncro sits up 2.5 to 3.0 inches higher than stock. I love it. My wheels are Ronal R9's. Have fun trying to find any. I have 15" inch steel wheels for sale with hub caps from a 98 Passat, same fit with no problems, look great to. Michael Modl 87 syncro 87 Quattro.
