Harald, You're absolutely right. I shifted decimal point one position too much. The compressor needs 5.07 oz (it's weight, not volume. I assume it's approximately 5.07 fl.oz.) But there was only 1/5 of oil from Bentley's spec I can dump out from the compressor at that time. My point was that make sure you have enough refrigerant oil before you put the new compressor in. Must be the Texas heat. But we only have 78 degrees right now. Then must be the age then...:>( BTW, where is the accumulator? Think that you got the quantities for refrigerant and oil mixed up. According to Bentley, Refrigerant R-12 (50.75 oz) Refrigerant oil (which is separate item): evaporator 2.02 oz accumulator 0.3 oz high pressure hose 0.3 oz low pressure hose 0.3 oz compressor only takes 5.07 oz If you use Refrigerant R134a, you are supposed to put only about 9 oz of oil in the compressor Harald '90 westy ---------------------------------------------------------------- The information transmitted is intended only for the person or entity to which it is addressed and may contain confidential and/or privileged material.
