The water comes from the vertical seams on the drivers side. What happens is the caulking (rubber stuff) dries and cracks allowing water to leak in and sit in the channel where the seam is behind the fridge. When you pull the fridge, you'll notice rust and possibly water in this channel. This happened on the two westies I have owned. You need to seal the vertical seams, probably where it bends below the window. Use some window caulk that is used for sealing around windows outside a house. Smooth it in with your finger where it is cracked and let it dry, Then it can be painted. Guaranteed this is the source of your rust problem. -steve- > > I started working on fixing some seam rust today (the long horizontal > seam at the bottom of the driver's side) and found a small area (a > hole about 1/4 inch) that was rusted through.
