I wanted to replace my alternator today - took it to a FLAPS and the guy pulled a rebuilt of of the shelf after checking out the numbers. We both thought it was the right one but upon close examination the B+ terminal on mine as marked W on his. Its the small clip-on terminal. The store manager said that it won't work. SO off to another store --- about 6 stores later they all have (W) marked on that terminal. Can anyone shed some light on this? Has the industry changed its marking standards? Also can I replace the alternator with one of a higher output (amps) without replacing anything else? Gary 88GL
