One of my syncros has had the same failure and my center support clamp
is there. Upon closer inspection I can see a couple of other cracks
starting here and there. My other vanagons all have had cracks in the
manifold piping, some had welds from previous repairs. I call a mobile
welder out to fix them when needed. Cost is $40 - $60 dollars. Make sure
to disconnect the battery ground strap before any arc welding is done to
prevent damage to the ECU etc.
