Robert, First check that the indicator bulb isn't just burned out. If its ok, check the voltage at the bulb. If the voltage is ok, put a new bulb in anyway. If the voltage is not ok, check the switch on the differential lock. This switch closes when the differential lock is engaged (knob pulled). If this switch is faulty your indicator light will not come on. The switch is located on the driver's side of the transmission on the differential lock shaft. While you are back under the van, check that the differential lock really is engaging and disengaging correctly and give the rubber boot a shot of light lubricant.
