Yeah VW did it for a while back in the early '90s.  When they got done they
pryed off the Carat name and glued on Multivan in its place.  :)

Seriously though everyone I have talked to says this conversion is easier and
more affordable as a cash conversion.  Convert your Carat to cash and buy a
Multivan and your conversion is complete (no cutting, sweat, blood or tears).
