just got back from SoCal (there are more vw's in SoCal than in the rest of the
world, i swear! )  and noticed a few late Vanagons that had the 14" alloy
"Carat" wheels ,and the neat thing about a few of them, is that the alloy
wheels were were highly polished aluminim finish instead of just painted
silver!!

was this factory? i saw this on like 3 different late vans...even centercaps
were plasti-chromed....

curious as to whether vw ever offered these wheels in that finish....
