I am glad that VW has big plans for its new Transporter.  However I hope it
doesn't really turn out looking like the picture of the concept (check it out
on Vanagon.com website).  This van has the nose that looks similar to the new
Passat or Beetle.  This is fine for a car but not a van.  I really think they
are going to blow it if they don't capitalize on the Retro look for thier new
transporter.  Also the drawing has the van pretty low to the ground for a 4
wheel drive and the height of the thing looks similar to American mini-vans
(pregnant station wagons).  I don't think we should sit by and let VW make a
big mistake with thier new van as we have in the past decade.  We have the
List and we are organized.  I say we make up a petition or deluge VW with mass
email on a certain day.  Show them that the potential buyers of thier new vans
want to have a say in its development.
What do you folks think?  We weren't organized to voice our opinions about the
Vanagon or the EV when they were in development, but we are now and I think we
should do something before its too late.
