I've never had a Rabbit Pickup, but I did have a 1981 Diesle Rabbit.  Same
thing from the back of the front seat forward.

I had the fuel pump go out at 198,000 miles, the head gasket at 150,000 and
250,000, original clutch at 266,000, block craked at 270, 000.

At the end, with the cracked block, mileage was down to 40 mpg from 52 mpg.

Don't know anything about a PU List, though.
