Up here in the Northland, the VW wave is alive and well, at least for much
of the year.
Even those of us brazen enough to love our Vans think twice prior to
rolling down the window in January.

Alternately, if we wave from the inside (especially to any air cooled type
2), it is often mistaken as just another attempt to manually scrape off
frost from the inside surface of the windshield.
