I'm a relatively new Westy owner. I'm wondering if anyone has experience camping in Bear Country. I thought about going to Yosemite or Yellowstone, but they're notorious for bears breaking into vehicles. They tell you not to leave any food in your vehicle even if it is locked. I've heard that sometimes they even damage doors or break through windows. It seems like a Westy loaded with food in bear country would be asking for it. I also wonder about taking the food out and putting it in a bear box: I'm sure that would be safer, but even then, if you use your camper a lot it will probably smell like food. And then there is the fridge problem. I really don't want my Westy to get busted up by bears! Anyone with experience with this? Suggestions? Bill 90 Westy Syncro
