Hi all, I'm wondering about air cooled to water cooled engine conversions. I
have a 82 air cooled which presently has the case split. Since I need to
replace the pistons, cylinders, main bearings, heater boxes, and more, I was
considering a water cooled conversion as an alternative. I currently have an
86 Scirocco motor as well as an Audi 5 cylinder both of which I know can be
swapped with the right $. Which would be recommended? What about the
transmission? Maybe from a 1.9? Am I really going to need as much water hose
as I think? ANY info on either of these two swaps would be greatly
appreciated.
Muchos gracias in advance.
