Every time I turn the blower switch on to any speed I blow the fuse #10
(wiper fuse). The switch itself is OK so it looks like I have a short in my
blower motor; either that or the resistor that controls the lower speeds.
There is always the chance that it is a simple errant wire but Murphy tells
me otherwise. In any case it looks like I will be tearing the dash apart on
my 83.5 Westy.
Flipping through the Bentley the job looks strightforward enough but
with Murphy lurking I thought I would poll the group here and see if any of
you folks had any advice, cautions, wise-cracks, etc. to offer; or maby one
or two "While your in there you might as well do...." type of things.
If the trouble is as I suspect I will also be looking for a new blower
motor and/or resistor. If so, anyone got an extra to sell?
Any input would be appreciated.Have something to add on this topic today? Revive this thread in the forum »
