Hey all, still trying to finish the project 2.3T vanagon. She still doesn't run, simply no time to finish it yet. Anyway, was backing(pushing) the van out of its parking place down the driveway. The drive has a slight grade and the van was picking up speed rather quickly. I was steering while walking backwards beside it with driver door open. Had to navigate a turn in the drive without hitting my friend's Ford Bronco. The Bronco was on the passenger side, so I was looking in that direction. A fraction of a second too late I remembered the fence post on the drivers side. The open door hooked the post and bent completely backwards, to my dismay. I am thinking of straitening the door, but it probably won't look right or close properly. If anybody can point me towards a good driver door with mounting hole for small mirror(early style), in white, I would be very grateful. Barring this, its search the boneyards... Thanks, PSD.
