I thought I saw a rebuilt ECU at either Volks Motor Sports or Bus boys for $575
I went through this process a couple of months ago with my 84 Vanagon.
I tried a junkyard one from Russ' Recycling but I still had the same problems so I returned it. I bought a used one from Volks motorsport for $275 it seems to be doing well.
I also cleaned up the grounds on me engine and other maintenance stuff. So I am not
convinced that the ECU was the whole problems.
Are you sure it is the ECU ?
