My father's name is Bob Lilley...But he did not play for Dallas. >Questions, >1) If coating the valves, will the valve stems have to be oversized for coating clearance? The coating is only a few microns thick, so there is no clearence problems. The thermal barrier coating decreases wear and keeps heat from damaging the valve. http://www.hpcoatings.com/hpcauto.html http://www.hpcoatings.com/hpcauto.html are some places to look for info on coatings >2) How do we break in an engine that has been ceramic coated? Is the process you are using Cermichrome, I >><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><>once had this done on an airplane engine, very good results and break on only took 30 minutes. Breaking in the engine would be the same. Run engine 20min @2000 rpms, change oil(NOT syn.), run at 500 miles change oil(NOT syn.), at 1000 miles change oil,(NOT syn.), then at @5000 MILES CHANGE OIL AND switch to syn. Keeping the speed below 55 to 60 mph and do not drive at a steady pace for long until after 5000 miles. Robert Free web-based email, Forever, From anywhere! http://www.mailexcite.com
