The dealers >>want blood for a replacement set of muffler cradles. Well, even in Sunny California, these things rot quickly, and I, too, need a set. With all the Vanagons getting along in years, I think that there would be a reasonable market for these things. Several of the list-aware vendors sell most of the exhaust stuff -- they _should_ sell these as well. If they don't, then perhaps making these would be an opportunity. The alternate would perhaps be the mythical stainless system so often spoken of on the list. This is supposed to use a slightly different-shaped muffler, so they must also be supplying the two muffler brackets. Maybe. Malcolm H.
