I took a look  under Ed and I believe I found the dreaded Vanagon  disease of
leaky head on the right side...the top of the air cleaner cover had gunk  on
it too, i thought that was weird. but when i crawled  under the right side I
saw a drop of oil   right where the head  bolts to the cyl....

can i shoot it yet??

I cant fix it either, no $$ and  bank of granpa is closed now
soo ill just keep dumping oil in til it blows completely  i guess...hopefully
it lasts til tax time and the big fat return check i get for a BUG
