I was wondering if it would be possible to swap the bellhousing from a manual
Vanagon transmission (say from a diesel Vanagon) to an automatic Vanagon
transmission so that I could do a engine swap into a Autotranny Vanagon?
I looked it up in the Bentley and from the pictures there it looks like the
differential section is all one piece and so the swap would be impossible.
However I remember before that some list members were saying that the swap was
possible so I just wanted to check with the list in case the Bentley pictures
were decieving me somehow.
