My vanagon is an 88 Wolfsburg Weekender, but I remove the front spoiler when I am venturing out on the dirt/backroads of Colorado (I live in Denver), but reattach it when I will be around town or on the highway. It is (as you know) only a few fasteners. It does help for some roads, and beats destroying the thing needlessly. Mark Williamson
